Just a question: who decides which part of the translation is fuzzy or not? For example, I found in an Italian transaltion of a package the word "cancel" translated into "delete", or "active profile" into "activate profile", missing spaces between words and a lot of other mistakes in the "translated" part, not in fuzzy! About underscore

May I change the position of the underscore (_) character? I saw a translation of "Prefi_x" into "Prefisso(_x)" since the Italian translation doesn't contain the "x". May I change it into "_Prefisso" for example without side effects? Thanks Federico

Error in commit

Hi, I tried to commit authconfig file and I got such error message. How do fix it? Testing et.po... **** Access allowed: xyzallan is in ACL for authconfig/po. cvs server: failed to move `/usr/local/CVS/authconfig/po/Attic/et.po,v' out of the attic: Permission denied Allan Sims allsi(a)eau.ee

Some questions...

Hi translators and coordinators! I have some questions related with fedora-i18n... 1. I was wondering if there was any way to get only pot files for translating because doing cvs -z9 co translate takes too long with dial up connection. 2. Is there any plan to build status pages like Gnome and KDE communities have? I know about http://elvis.redhat.com/cgi-bin/i18n-status but I am looking for the thing where we could download po/pot files from the web. 3. Do we have an "add" permission with our cvs account? I mean how do we add our very first translations? I know that we can commit but not sure about adding. Should we send them to Sarah Wang or other coordinator? 4. hello everybody, i am new to a translation project for linux, i am new to any project under linux. therefor i do not have any experience neither in attending a linux project or a translation proiect. i do know how translating for fedora linux works (rules, guidelines, tools uses, etc.). my question is: where to start ? what tools are there to be uses (what documentation do i need to start reading)? what about: how to make a translation ? how to coordinate with others ? where to start ? thanks by now for your replies __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hey everyone, I've applied as translator for Slovenian language some time ago and I've been now fixing some inappropriate translations in bindconf and anaconda-online-help.
