Proposal: Fedora G11N Steering Committee

Hi All, I am sure, most of the people working with Fedora I18N, L10N from 5-6 year must be aware regarding Fedora L10N Steering Committee. [1] As far as i know this committee was active around 2009 and very effective. During Fedora G11N activity day discussions, we again felt there is need for some kind of official committee to drive Fedora Globalization activities. Fedora is growing faster with number of different domains and G11N also need to adapt those changes quickly to remain on the track. For this purpose and in line with [1], we were thinking of Fedora Globalization steering committee. I have created initial proposal for it. [2] Its open for feedback, please feel free to share other active members, discuss in your respective language groups. This is just initial proposal and i am sure, we can improve and make it more effective with active participation. Wiki translation issue

Hello all I am translating Fedora Wiki and I probably messed up with the language template somehow in case of the page https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Magazine/Magazine_Team/cs because it offers English only but not Czech language. The same is valid for English version https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Magazine/Magazine_Team If I edit the language template, "cs" is listed next to "en" so both languages should be visible on the wiki page but that's not true. Not sure what caused this issue, maybe I accidentally moved the order of some page(s) so they are not properly interlinked between each other now....? Thanks for any help or hint to fix it.

how much transtats is ready for fedora 28?

Hi Everyone, Transtats[1] has been into development for a while now, and has some interesting results. It talks to translation platforms (DamnedLies and Zanata), Releases (Schedule and Build System) and Git repository of a package which creates possibilities doing multiple tasks. One of them is finding translation gaps[2]. Lets talk a bit on use cases: Q) What is translation completeness of a package, say abrt, for fedora 28? Is it in sync - are all translations done at platform packaged and built in koji? A) http://transtats.xyz/translation-status/package/abrt 40 packages[3] are added as of now, which are pointing to 3 translation platforms[4]. Q) How many packages are out-of-sync for fedora 28? And for which languages? A) http://transtats.xyz/translation-status/packages Please select individual package to see language details. Q) How to see translation status for a package built in koji for other build_tags? A) Please run a job at http://transtats.xyz/jobs/yml-based Q) What is estimated translation volume for fedora 28 across 40 packages? A) http://transtats.xyz/translation-status/release/fedora-28 Please switch to "Language Wise" view for insights. Q) How to look at translation coverage of a package set for f28 in, say, 10 languages? A) We can create graph rules. I've been translating, editing and proofreading for about 10 years; first with a publishing company, then with an IT-company (and non-stop as a freelancer).
