Fwd: Self introduction
by Alex Eng
Hi,
My name is Alex Eng and I'm from Zanata team.
Apart from engineering, I'm interested in working in translations too for
Fedora.
I'm fluent in Simplify Chinese, Malay, English, and Traditional Chinese but
I would start with Simplify Chinese for the time being.

Choosing branches
by Misha S.
Hello.
It's not clear how the branches are related throughout multiple release cycles.
Fixing a translation error, do I have to edit all the branches I can
find? What is master branch for? How is it related f24-branch? Where
do I put fixes? Are rhel*-branches to be translated?

Planning for Virtual FAD for translations
by pravin.d.s@gmail.com
Hi All,
One important topic we are discussing from DevConf is vFAD. We have very
less time around, say 2/3 weeks to get things done for vFAD. (Translation
freeze 5th April 2015)
I have created initial Wiki page for vFAD, few more edits from Ani. [1]
This page is mostly from planning side. Feel free to correct/extend it with
more information.
As you can see from Wiki, we have different tasks and different
expertise contribution is required. Please add your name in part you can
help. Then later we can discuss in small group how to execute it.
If we can get small groups by Friday. Next week we can start working on
completing prerequisite list.
Lets collaborate and make it big success :)
Regards,
Pravin Satpute

Golden chance to translate Fedora 24 in your language
by Jona Azizaj
Out of the six billion people in the world, only 339 million have English as a first language. The importance of English in global business increases the number of English speakers, but the people learning are taking English on as a second language. A notable number of users prefer products in their own language. In the Fedora Globalization (G11n) group, we are making this happen. The efforts are huge, and kudos to all our contributors. If you are a non-English user in Fedora and want to help improve translations in your native language, this is your time to contribute! A virtual Fedora translation sprint is coming up soon for Fedora 24 GUI applications.
Although it is a virtual event, if there are more contributors at a single location, they can gather together at an available place and work together. If any Ambassadors have this plan, please contact the G11n list with your requirements.
The translation sprint is happening according to the Fedora 24 schedule. There is a good chance to get your own contributions into Fedora 24!
So what are you waiting for? The vFAD is starting from April 1 – 5, 2016. Not sure how to contribute? Have a look at our new article published on the CommBlog.> https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/translate-fedora-24-in-your-langu...
Thanks :)
