OK, seems you're on to something. Yes, FF starts in the desktop where it was last
closed.
I have found no other application which does that. All the apps I tried, including FF,
are
apps that I start from the Application Launcher.
So, now where to find the setting that tell FF to "Start in Current
Desktop".....
And the answer is, it is a FF setting.
open about:config page, search for "widget.disable-workspace-management" and set
it to "true".
Works as I want it!
