nntp (aka, usenet) client in kde?
by Gene Smith
I currently use t-bird with an nntp account pointing to gmane to read
this list and sereral others. Does kde have an nntp client program of
any sort? I don't see it as a possible new account type in kmail. Also,
search with kpackagekit yields nothing with "usenet" or "nntp" that is
kde specific.

Right Click Desktop Context Menu - Different
by Gerald B. Cox
I have two systems, and the right click desktop context menu is different.
On one, it just has:
Konsole
Run Command
Add Widgets...
Add Panel
Activites
Lock Widgets
Lock Screen
Leave
Desktop Settings
On the other:
All of above, except Desktop Settings, plus:
Create New
icons
Paste Clipboard Contents
Undo
Refresh Desktop
Open With Dolphin
Folder View Settings
How do I make them the same?
Thanks!

update to kmail 16.04.2 (missing message headers)
by José Abílio Matos
Hi,
after updating to the latest kmail in F24 I do not see the message headers
and the options in View->Headers are missing. That is when pressing the Edit
menu, I see the options for "Message List" and for Attachements but not
Headers.
Other than that everything is working fine in my daily usage.
Regards,

kscreen: Set default resolution for new users
by Ubay Dorta Guerra
Hello,
I am using Fedora 24 with kscreen 5.6.5 and i want to set a predefined resolution when users login for the first time. I tried to copy a file generated by kscreen to the following path without success: /usr/share/kde-settings/kde-profile/default/share/applications/kscreen
Is there any way to get this?
Thanks in advance.

kwin crashes are getting annoying
by Ed Greshko
I can consistently get kwin crashes simply by using VirtualBox and clicking OK at various
points when making changes to the configuration and/or managing a VM.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1351190
was filed using the auto reporting tools. But it seems there are many similar bugs that
have gone back to last year. It is just that I've had to use VirtualBox on a project
recently and having to wait while kwin restarts itself every time I make changes to a VM
is getting annoying.

F24 Mozilla Plasma integration
by Tom Back
Since installing a fresh F24, Firefox and Thunderbird don't seem to integrate
properly with Plasma workspace.
For example, the save dialogue looks like Gnome and doesn't show my KDE places
or bookmarks, and fonts also render differently, which leads me to believe my
freetype settings aren't being used.
I noticed the same problem with LibreOffice until I installed 'libreoffice-kde',
although that of course gave me the unsightly gradient background behind the
toolbars, but what can you do.
I don't recall having the Mozilla problem in F22/23. Could I be missing a
package?

fingerprint reader turns on, doesn't turn off (f24)
by Neal Becker
When I type pw into screenlocker, it turns on the fingerprint reader
(actually, after unlocking with keyboard!), and never turns off unless I
swipe my finger.
This had happened a few months ago on f23, but after update to f24, now it's
back.
