How to set default session type to Plasma for sddm

Hi How do I set the default session type for sddm to offer to be Plasma? I'm currently getting Gnome Classic? This is F22. Thanks Roderick Johnstone

nntp (aka, usenet) client in kde?

I currently use t-bird with an nntp account pointing to gmane to read this list and sereral others. Does kde have an nntp client program of any sort? I don't see it as a possible new account type in kmail. Also, search with kpackagekit yields nothing with "usenet" or "nntp" that is kde specific. -gene

Looking over some broken deps reports, I came across some old packages: kdebindings smokeqt smokekde qyoto (csharp/mono) kimono (csharp/mono) ruby-qt ruby-korundum perl-Qt Of these, the only one that's not a pure leaf package is perl-Qt (debconf- kde depends on it). any comment or objection to considering orphaning most (all minus smokeqt/perl-Qt) or all of these ? -- Rex

White spaces in Kmail (dark themes)

Hi, After the recent updates of qt5-qtwebengine there are white spaces in the message window when using a Dark Theme. Another user has just reported this on kde.bugs with a screen shot https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379406 I don't know if it is a kmail or qtwebengine bug or even related to mesa/ nouveau saga. Xembedsniproxy segfault plasma-5.10.1/5.10.2

Hi, I have just stumbled across this yesterday, that xembedsniproxy segfaults after noticing dnfdragora's update icon was not in the tray. I noticed it first with plasma 5.10.1 and is still there with today's update to 5.10.2, so I rolled back to 5.10.0 to test and get no segfault. I can start Xembedsniproxy from a shell and it works OK. Anyone else seeing this? F26, Plasma 5.10.2, frameworks 5.35 I have a feeling this was automatically reported but need to check. [F25] only black screen with KDE Plasma session

Hi, Since this morning, after loging in on a Plasma KDE session, I can first see the desktop then only a black screen with only the mouse available, nothing else. Ctrl+Alt+Suppr, brings the log out screen so I can log out. I can also switch to a text terminal with Ctrl+Alt+F2. That's all. On the fedora users mailing list, we identified that it is due to plasmashell crash. With a newly created user, I get the same problem. Multifuncional Brother MFC-9320CW

Hi, Somebody helps? Old "Fedora 20-x86_64" installed and working(printer&scanner) with my Brother MFC-9320CW. Due to a hardware problem, I had to change my motherboard. All worked fine, until I decided to update the system. After I installed Fedora-Kde-live-25-1-3, I lost access to the scanner of the MFC-9320CW, and now I have 2 problems: 1) Don't have scangui anymore, skanlite seems that does't work with wi-fi devices. Printing is working ok. 2) When I shutdown the system, dolphin ends with a segmentation fault(11). Need help, please. Thanks.

unable to unzip files after upgrade

I've tried ark, konqueror and even dolphin, none of which will open a zip file. In all cases I get an unsupported file type error. This worked recently and so I believe it is broken as a result of my last update, which was this weekend. Both zip and unzip are installed and seem to work on the command line. I am using Fedora 25. Anyone else seeing this? Emmett

qt5-qtwebkit update

F26 - kmail tray icon is gray on dark themes
