widow (desktop) sharing problem with recent kde/wayland update

Running on up-to-date F38. Since a recent change, sharing a window has changed for the worse. Using chrome + google meet as an example (firefox and teams are the same), choose share. A dialog appears "choose what to share". Select window tab opens another dialog "choose which window to share with the requesting application". Select a window, then click the "share" button. Now back to "choose what to share" dialog. Here we can click the "share" button a 2nd time. Now "meet.google.com is sharing a window" window has appeared, but window is not yet being shared. "Choose which window to share with the requesting application" dialog has appeared a 2nd time. Choosing a window and click "share" button a 2nd time, now it appears to be sharing the window. To stop sharing there are 2 windows "meet.google.com is sharing a window" and I need to choose "stop sharing" in both of them. Sharing a window works fine as before on kde/X11. Thanks Neal

Broken Discrete/Dedicated GPU support

Hey people, KDE recently merged in more support for discrete GPUs through swicheroo-control and I noticed that the logic both KDE and Gnome use does not probe if the GPU is actually discrete/dedicated or not, only if it was used at startup. On Desktop setups, it's not uncommon to see a discrete/dedicated GPU as the default and an integrated GPU on the side, which both desktop environments would assume to be the better one, with Gnome even adding a context option to "Launch using Dedicated Graphics Card" when in reality it would use the integrated GPU. I've looked into contributing to fix the issue, but from the outside, it appears that RedHat is no longer interested in spending resources on it, essentially leaving it unmaintained for the time being. F37 packagekit undefined symbol

Hi: After yesterday's massive update I'm seeing: file:///usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.pkupdates/contents/ui/main.qml:25:1: plugin cannot be loaded for module "org.kde.plasma.PackageKit": Cannot load library /usr/lib64/qt5/qml/org/kde/plasma/PackageKit/libplasmapk_qmlplugins.so: (/usr/lib64/qt5/qml/org/kde/plasma/PackageKit/libplasmapk_qmlplugins.so: undefined symbol: _ZN5Solid3Job16staticMetaObjectE)
