List server mis-configured?

I noticed recently that each time I send an email to the kde(a)lists.fedoraproject.org mailing list I get up to three failed DMARC reports from other email servers. The list is sending email "from" me with the source address: Source-IP: 38.145.60.11 (bastion-iad01.fedoraproject.org) Which, of course, does not match up with my email server's IP address, so SPF fails, It also appears that DKIM signature also does not match. I've had my server's DNS set up to request DMARK failure reports for a few years and haven't seen any reports lately except via this list. So I am wondering if something is mis-configured on this list server. Emmett

Looking over some broken deps reports, I came across some old packages: kdebindings smokeqt smokekde qyoto (csharp/mono) kimono (csharp/mono) ruby-qt ruby-korundum perl-Qt Of these, the only one that's not a pure leaf package is perl-Qt (debconf- kde depends on it). any comment or objection to considering orphaning most (all minus smokeqt/perl-Qt) or all of these ? -- Rex

Initial thoughts on KDE/Plasma 6 with Wayland

I installed F40 a couple of days ago, using the distro-upgrade path. It went smoothly with no installation issues. I'm on an Intel board with an AMD GPU. All in all, the user experience seems smoother (faster) than the previous version wih X11. However there are two things that bother me. They may or may not be related: 1) As noted before, session save/restore does not work. This is pretty much expected, if disappointing. I hope the workaround is fixed soon as it's a significant impediment for me. For some reason, Firefox with multiple windows *does* start correctly, but nothing else does (neither KDE apps nor Evolution, which is GTK-based). 2) Resuming after hibernation works only partially. Most things are recovered (including Evolution), but among those I use Konsole and Dolphin simply don't. They just aren't there when I resume and have to be started manually. Interestingly, I tried using Gnome and starting both of these apps in the Gnome environment, and they both *do* restore correctly after hibernation. In all cases I'm using SDDM as desktop manager. I've no explanation for why this is happening. poc

Plasma crashes

Is just me getting Plasma problems since recent updates? I apply Fedora updates once a week and since last week I'm getting frequent (only something like once a day) problems. I've had a couple of total hangs, I think these were linked to viewing a website that has a particularly active js header in FireFox, though to be fair that might be 'cos it turned out I also had 90 other tabs open. Other than that I seem to get a "race condition", my auto-hiding control bar sometimes shows a flickering tooltip, nothing seems to fix that other than closing the session (log off or reboot). I've just had a screen corruption, the right hand side (15%?) got a portion of some other page fixed on it, changing virtual desktop fixed that. This is new since last week. Mark F39, X11.

Kaddressbook empty after upgrade F39-40

Fedora 40, KDE session would not start after login

Hi, After upgrade from F39 to F40 I cannot normally log in. When I enter my login and passwd a black screen appears for a second and I am back in the login screen. When I switch to CLI, log in there and do "startplasma-wayland", the KDE desktop appears normally. System is operational, but this behaviour is annoying. Any ideas how to solve the problem would be appreciated. Thanks Frank -- <listfrank1(a)gmail.com>
