But now I find that this has the disastrous effect of apparently re-defining
the konsole command.
More precisely, running the command "konsole -e "/usr/bin/bash
alfred-vpn'"
has the effect that any subsequent call on konsole,
eg by clicking on f=>Applications=>System=>Terminal (Konsole)
now connects me to the remote site alfred and opens a window there.
Even running Alt-F2 and entering "konsole" takes me to alfred.
The only solution seems to be to logout and login again,
or else run the command "konsole -e /usr/bin/bash localhost'",
which apparently re-defines konsole to its usual meaning.
I don't find any mention of this curious behaviour
in the (sparse) documentation on konsole.
Maybe an intended side effect, I would file a bug (upstream).
