Thank you, Rex.
I see both the KMail and Kontact Handbooks are available
if I go to Applications and enter khelpcenter.
I see now that it is also available by just typing "khelpcenter".
But neither is available by clicking the Help button in KMain or Kontact;
one is told that the documentation is not available on the computer,
and advised to look in <
https://docs.kde.org/>.
This seems to me to be a minor bug.
So:
- kmail defines itself internally as "kmail2"
- the documentation is the documentation for "mail"
- the desktop file for kmail (installed under /usr/share/applications/
org.kde.kmail.desktop) correctly specify the key
X-DocPath=kmail/index.html
- then probably the key above is not considered right now.
Possible candidate: the handler for help:/ defined inside kguiaddons, src/
util/urlhandler.cpp
Regarding kontact, the usual "Help" menu does not even appear. According
Laurent it is a known bug but lower priority than other issues.
