I have been unable to use the folderview widget since installing F10
because apparently it has a problem with my nvidia driver. I created a
bugzilla entry for it here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=473446
Therefore I conclude that a properly functioning nVidia driver is NOT a
"preference". Its a necessity.
Using nv, I have it working just fine. This has a mobile card (NVS 140 M or
something) and if that's a remotely new desktop, it should be easily
outperforming this thing. If nv doesn't work, try nouveau.
The bug report you submitted was rightly closed. It's not a general KDE
issue, otherwise everyone would see it. We cannot do ANYTHING about the
blob working or not. We don't have the source, so we can't fix it.
