I had all those problems too, but with
xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-21.20160119.fc24.x86_64 things are looking
good.
FWIW, killing kscreenlocker-kgreet (and occasionally also killing and
restarting kwin_x11 and plasmashell) was sufficient to recover the
system, without losing any work.
Yes, this is happening a LOT. killall -TERM kscreenlocker-kgreet, killall -
s SISEGV plasmashell, AND each time google chrome is locked and needs to be
restarted as well. No idea about that one.
