I am having a cable internet with ADSL network. I don't have any router. I want to
connect to internet using this connection. I used to have windows 7 ultimate before. There
I used to add new connection in the network center. Then I select broadband. Then I used
to see a broadband connection icon in My Networks. This I would right click and add a
shortcut to the desktop. I open it in the desktop and enter my login and password.
That's when I get connected to the internet. I recently migrated to the Fedora
Scientific OS with KDE Plasma desktop. I don't see broadband or ADSL or Cable Internet
options in the Network settings. There only wired/802.11/IPv4/IPv6 are the options. I have
ethernet wired connection without any modem with append 10 GBps. I don't see option
to use wired connection with login credentials. That option is there in 802.11 option. I
tried everything but nothing seems to work.
