I'll look into this but not sure why kpk would want to log you out.
reboot maybe depending on what was updated. however I know there is
an issue with logout in general not working so maybe if that worked
then kpk would log you out.

FYI: This is a rather long standing issue. See bug report #546205. The report
is still open because in that time there were a lot of other issues. May be
the report can better be closed and a new one opened for the current version
of KPackagekit/Packagekit?
