Assuming the the X11 driver is installed (xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-*) and
the nvidia module was compiled against your running kernel
(find /lib/modules/$(uname -r) | grep nvidia.ko), have you added:
Yes I have the xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-* files and the kernal module matches
the kernel,
[g6avk@localhost ~]$ find /lib/modules/$(uname -r) | grep nvidia.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.31.6-166.fc12.i686/extra/nvidia/nvidia.ko
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AIGLX" "on"
EndSection
...and...
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
Option "RENDER" "true"
Option "DAMAGE" "true"
EndSection
.. To your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file?
I have these except the last two, added but with no change (restarted X) I
am puzzled as this hardware ran fine on F10 and 11.
I'll keep trying
Thanks again
