I'm utterly confused. Downgrading the intel driver didn't
cure the display
problem, yet I didn't have it with the old driver. It was basic - no
compositing etc - but no display distortion either. I've tried to find out
what's happening, but I'm completely lost.
Installed Packages

Complete!
[root@tecraA11 ~]# yum install xorg-x11-drivers
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
Package xorg-x11-drivers-7.3-14.fc13.i686 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do
!! It said it removed it - and it didn't say that it put it back as a
dependency. I'm utterly lost. Meanwhile, it's not obvious what is causing
the display problems, as the previously installed version also has it. There
must be some interaction with one of the other packages.
Next suspect would be xorg-X11-* packages. Guessing you know that the
HW is still ok ;)
