I was trying to use the Device Notifier to unmount the drive. However
this doesn't appear to be possible. All I get on clicking (left or right
button, it makes no difference) is the same popup I get when I want to
mount the drive.
<sigh> I've described this so many times. When you see the notifier window,
hover over the device name and you will see, on the right, an up-arrow inside
a circle. Click on that and the drive unmounts.
IOW it's not a "mount the drive" popup, it's a
"what do
you want to open this with" popup. There doesn't appear to be a way to
unmount directly from the Notifier, though there is from the Kickoff
menu and from the Dolphin window. It's not a big deal, but I like
consistency.
Sorry, but you are wrong. I umount from the device notifier almost every
time.
BTW it's rather annoying that the first option in the popup is
"Download
photos with Digikam", which is the one I'm almost never going to want,
meaning I can't just hit Return but have to physically select "Open with
Dolphin".
File a bugzilla wish.
