I use virt-manager. In the Preferences menu the options for New VM
include "Add Spice USB redirection - Yes", and my USB devices appear
automatically in the guest. Presumably that can be changed for existing
VMs as well.
Sure, that is what I have. But the VM can't obtain the Samsung phone because it is
"in use" by the
host. Even if I check the box, I get an error. The phone shows up in the Device Notifier
of the host
and I need it to be released and not show there. I have no problem with flash drives and
usb WiFi dongles.
