Except all 3 main drivers in Fedora (intel, nouveau, radeon) support KMS
and use it by default.

The labeling as "evil" is completely unrelated to this issue.

The problem is also partly caused by the NVidia driver still not supporting
kernel modesetting.
FYI: The NVidia driver will probably never get support for ksm. See the
contributions from AaronP in [1].
