F23, KDE, fully updated.
Everything works inside the File Manager, but if I rename a file on the Desktop then I can no longer access it after that. Example:
Right-click on Desktop, Create New --> Folder. Name the folder "foo". Click on foo, opens File Manager in foo directory. Close that. Right-click on foo, Rename. "bar" Click on bar... Error, dialog says, "Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder /home/alan/Desktop///foo does not exist." (After reboot, clicking on bar works.)
Same thing happens with Create New --> Text File.
I don't use this machine often, but my wife tells me this has been happening for a long time. The problem manifests on both of our logins.

sounds similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270414 while not reproduceable here at the moment

If this is a manifestation of a five-year-old bug that was fixed four years ago then I am not very encouraged.
Just found this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362873 so my encouragement level is increased slightly. I'm guessing, however, that any fix won't appear in F23; hopefully F24, but if I were a betting man, F25. Ugh.

I can reproduce this on F24, the folder is accessible however via the Konsole so I guess its a folderview issue?
