I had a play around with that Fractal Explorer tool, here's something I came
up with. It's very rough, but shows what you can do with this tool.

Discovered a REALLY cool tool that's built right into GIMP called Fractal
Explorer, and for a wallpaper with a mathematician inspiration this might
be good for us! You can access the tool once you have a new, preferably
blank, GIMP layer by selecting "Render" under the "Filters" tab and
then
choosing "Fractal Explorer" from there! I've "explored" quite a
few
different looks created with this tool and once I'm a little farther along,
I'll be sure to share them here. If anyone else gives the tool a try and
comes up with something interesting, I'd love to see it!
