Desire to participate in OPW under Fedora-design team
by Sandeep kaur
Hello everyone,
Let me, first of all introduce myself.
I am pursuing my bachelor degree in engineering college under
Information Technology. I rely on Open Source for all my computer
related works.
I have great interest in banner making, image editing, logo making,
making designs etc. I have made some banners and landing pages for
some live websites. In
addition to this, I have also made a software application in django.
Some of my work is listed below :
http://ukiericoncretecongress.com/
http://gndec.ac.in/~igs/ldh/
https://github.com/sandeepmadaan
I got to know that to be part of OPW, I will need to contribute a
'home work' as a part of my application. Likewise I will be a member
of Fedora-Design team and an Open Source Contributor as well. That's
really great.
I have subscribed the mailing list, got a Fedora Account. Now what I
want to do is complete a task to be a part of Fedora-design team. I am
interested in doing following task :
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/123
See if it is still available to work on. If yes also tell, what type
of banner should I design, just an idea will be sufficient. If no,
assign me task of your choice.
Will be really great full to hear from you.
Thank you.

Hello.
by Bleona Foniqi
Hello, I'm Bleona.
I started drawing a long time ago..I've been working on some projects with
Gimp and Inkscape .I also like to use drawings as designs( draw something
then put it on the computer and modify it). I have to mention that I'm
applying for the Outreach Program For Women and I would really like to do
something for Fedora :)
Thanks.

Welcome to the team!!! What you do with drawing sounds interesting... I have always loved to draw, sketch on long trips, and I’ll have to try what you do!

Introduction
by Maxine Bouffard
Hello, my name is Maxine and I am probably applying for OPW. I had been a light contributor to Fedora before, now looking into anaconda ui/ux and also Fedora design after a conversation with ryanlerch.
I am from Montreal, Quebec and my primary language is French.
Previously, I was a physicist (past tense, less than voluntary), have been working the odd, irregular math project for a Canadian federal math & computing research institute. I'm looking to learn more different things? Perhaps maybe even how to write better introductions such as these
I can be contacted at maxineb(a)fedoraproject.org and as maxineb on freenode.

fedora 18 sleeves
by Sirko Kemter
Hallo,
Alexander drives forward the banners, but there are other things on
our action list we have to deliver soon. Until 30th we should have the
sleeves ready and also the release party poster.
So its also time to work on that.
I trying since 3 day to create a design for the sleeves. Thats how it looks now.
I am not so happy with the group photo on the backside, the blue
shirts and the shape is not so nice. But there is no better one. From
FUDCon KL there is only one such group photo there but there is
directly in the front some handrails. So hopefully there comes a nice
one from Paris.
So I am open for critics now...

new to fedora
by tristan potopa
Hi, I´m Jane, I´ve just joined this mailing list and would like to become a Fedora contributor. My skills: well I don´t have any technical or computer education but in my previous job, about four years ago, I started to work with graphic design programs, mostly vector graphics, and I became very enthusiastic about it - I like it :-). At present, I don´t do it professionally, just for friends and friends´ friends, but it´s not occasional, it´s like one or two artworks every week. So far I´ve been dealing mostly with things designed for print and not for web (like brochures, catalogs, cd covers, posters etc.) and I´d be happy to have more occasions to do web design too. So what else is relevant to say ... I´ve been to some web developing courses but that´s not what I could really do ... and I´m a translator (English/Italian to Slovak) if that should be needed :-)
So if anyone could give me a clue of what contribution I could make, I´m eager to hear it, thanks.
