I am delighted that we can use the GUI interface to log to root. I was a proponent and with the ability to do drag and drop via GUI, administration errors have been substantially reduced.
Now I would like to propose an installation enhancement. Provide a separate background for the root logon that would be distinguishable from the Admin or Standard user.
As root under gui, we need reminders to not use the web browser, unless it is absolutely necessary. Even then I consider it dangerous to do it.
But if we start some work, and are distracted for a while, or pass the terminal to someone else to complete the work, while logged on as root, we need a reminder -- you are logged in as root, get out asap.
I solved that problem for my root logons with Gnome. Immediately after the very first logging into root, I setup a new background. One that acts as a reminder to exit the logon ASAP.
It would be nice if this concept of a separate background for root logon was included into Fedora21 and future distributions.
