Hello Design team,
Following is an extract from ticket #231[1]
<quote>
GSoC 2012 selection process is over ! We had a high demand from the
students and since we are offering some limited slots we couldn't accept
all the good students.
Therefore we are planning to launch a program something noted below.
The structure of the program is not yet finalized but certainly we need
some tasks, so that students can work on those. Roughly the structure
would be; a student should select some tasks form the list and should
complete required hours (eg: 100 hrs), the student is encouraged to learn
himself most of the time and if he needs some support after all he is free
to contact the person mentioned with the task.
We are seeking
1) An attractive name
2) Cool logo
For above mentioned program.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome, thanks!

Hello
GSoC 2012 selection process is over ! We had a high demand
from the students and since we are offering some limited slots we
couldn't accept all the good students.
Therefore we are planning to launch a program for returning students
(who didnt select for GSoC with Fedora).
The structure of the program is not yet finalized but certainly we need
some tasks, so that students can work on those. If you are interested
in adding a task to the list[1] please feel free.
Please note the number of hours needed to complete the task and contact
details of the person who should be contacted in case of getting more
information.
Nothing is finalized please join with us if you are interested to
shape the program.
Thanks

Hi, my name is Samuel, I'm an Architecture student from Italy. Since
I've been using Fedora for almost 3 years, I think it would be great now
to contibute to the project as far as in my possibilities. :-)

Hi Alexander,
(I'm cc'ing the design team for reference)
I think so far the F17 wallpaper has been a real hit. We've gotten a lot
of positive comments about it. Thank you so much for doing such a great
job on it.
Matthew Garrett is doing Macbook Air testing of Fedora 17, and he
noticed even though the wallpaper looks great (maybe just a tiny bit of
banding) on most computers, on the Macbook Air it shows strange
stairstep banding. I took a photo of it here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mairin/7090541057/
I'm going to try to adjust the image a bit to try to eliminate this
artifact and to dither the banding so the image appears a bit smoother.
Do you have any ideas / suggestions for updating the wallpaper further
for final? I was thinking about playing around with some of the
fireworks effects since I'm going to be poking at it anyway. Let me know
what you think. I'll follow up with a post of what I come up with.

Hi there,
I want to change a bit start.fpo, but before anything I want to share
my idea, and what is best than a mockup?
Ok, in fact I want to change the license select button with a radio one.
Dropping the text with small pics.
Therefore I am looking for an icon to feature the following options:
- <option value="">Any license</option>
- <option value="(cc_publicdomain|cc_attribute|cc_sharealike|cc_noncommercial|cc_nonderived)">Free
to use or share</option>
- <option value="(cc_publicdomain|cc_attribute|cc_sharealike|cc_nonderived).-(cc_noncommercial)">Free
to use or share commercially</option>
- <option value="(cc_publicdomain|cc_attribute|cc_sharealike|cc_noncommercial).-(cc_nonderived)">Free
to use, share or modify</option>
- <option value="(cc_publicdomain|cc_attribute|cc_sharealike).-(cc_noncommercial|cc_nonderived)">Free
to use, share or modify commercially</option>
A small [fav]icon like http://www.jamendo.com/images/libs/cc/cc-ico-xxx4-18.png
I am not asking you to design them, just if anyone have them somewhere
that I can reuse.
Cheers,

Hi,
This may sound stupid, but I am not really sure how to get a ticket in the tickets list.
What must you input into the login boxes?
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
The NA ambassadors are planning for Fedora 17 conference swag. And the
question came up about whether or not there is official/approved
artwork of the hot dog? Specifically, we want to put the hot dog on a
button. Is there a stash of official hot dog art somewhere :) or do I
need to create a ticket?
Thanks,
Sarah

Team,
I will be starting a meeting today at 20:00 UTC. That's 4:00pm Eastern US time. We will not be discussing design today. In this meeting, I will just introduce myself and try to meet everyone. I think we will communicate better if we know each other better! We'll take a look at what's going on in Fedora design in our next meeting, after today. This meeting is optional, you won't hurt anyone if you don't show up, or if you are late! Sorry for the late notice!!!
