Fedora bootstrap homepage logo
by Jaromir Capik
Hello.
We're starting a new project called "Fedora bootstrap" and created
a new logo we'd like to use on the following project homepage (that
is not public yet):
https://jcapik.fedorapeople.org/fedora-bootstrap/
The logo is created from scratch in inkscape & gimp, but I was searching
for logo usage guidelines (+ reading them quickly) and still don't know
whether it's acceptable or not. I don't wanna break any rules and therefore
asking you whether we can keep it there or remove prior making the page
public.
If it is not acceptable, maybe you could help us to create a better
looking logo with keeping the idea (Fedora replicating itself), but
I must admit I don't know whether you have any official procedure
of asking for custom logos and I would appreciate your help.
Please, let me know.
Thank in advance.
Regards,
Jaromir.

Self Introduction
by Kalpani Anuradha
Hello,
I'm Anuradha Welivita, a Computer Science undergraduate at University of
Moratuwa Sri Lanka. I'm a student who is selected for GSoC this time to
work on the project AskFedora UX/UI & Functionality Overhaul. My mentors
are Sarup Banskota and Suchakra Sharma.
I wanted to engage in this project because I'm really interested in UX/UI
related stuff and wants to learn more. You can see some of my work here :
http://askbot-anuradhaw.rhcloud.com. This is coded using Bootstrap and its
grid system but I will be incorporating sass, compass and susy in my work
during the summer as my mentors advised me to.
I have done some web based individual and group projects using html, css,
javascript and php. I was new to responsive web design until recently but
I'm currently learning more about responsive web design with sass, compass
and susy. I'm also willing to join the Fedora Design Team as a long term
contributor.
Thank you.

Red Hat Summit - Fedora - Community Central Pod Graphics
by Ruth Suehle
For the Fedora booth at Red Hat Summit, we have two graphic panels, each size 24 ¼” x 87”. The deadline is fairly soon--Friday, May 29. But I was wondering if we wanted to try to put something together for them about cloud/workstation/server?

Professional Graphic designer?
by Samuel Marques
You can be a professional graphic designer using the open source tools?
without using Adobe products?
because in college only teach it, just gave an idea of what is the free
design, but the focus is more on Adobe software such as Photoshop,
Illustrator and InDesign.
I particularly tried to learn to use the gimp, scribus and inkscape and the
only one that pleased me doi the sribus to replace InDesign.
So I wonder if you can get success, being free, since in my opinion the
tools lose some of the other software.

Introduction
by Christopher Wambugu
Hello,
I'm Chris (full name Christopher Mwai Wambugu) from Kenya. I'm a 23 year old software developer and a graphic designer, a combination that has seen me take on the role of a UX/UI designer at most of the projects I've been a part of. I'm also currently a continuing University student at Kenya Methodist University pursuing a Bsc. Computer Information Systems degree. I have 5 years of experience as a programmer and 4 as a UI/UX designer. I would like to be a member of the Fedora Project's design team, a place I believe I can make a valuable contribution to the open source project. I would appreciate any opportunity, however small or big, that I would be given to make a contribution. This is my first attempt at a project of such scale. I would appreciate all the advice I can get.
Kind regards.

date: 2015-05-21 place: irc.freenode.net in #fedora-meeting-2
time: 19:00 UTC (3 PM EDT, 12 noon PDT, 21:00 CEST)
This Thursday, May 21, we will meet to make sure we are coordinated
and ready for the Final release of Fedora 22 on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
Please note that this meeting will occur on May 21 even if the
release is delayed at the Go/No-Go meeting on the same day two hours
earlier.
You may received this message several times, but I was asked to open this
meeting to the teams and I'll also hope this will raise awareness and more
team representatives will come to this meeting. This meeting works best
when we have representatives from all of the teams. We also have a badge!
