Thanks Nicu,
I have repeated the design using Inkscape. I tried opening it with
Scribus and got undesirable results, so beware. I have uploaded the SVG
& SVGZ files for contributions. The low-res logos were for reference,
they will not display in the uploaded versions (linked). I don't know
how long it takes to get a vector version of the logos (in the queue).
A sample of my version (jpg) is available for reference.
Thanks for the lead on MgOpen, very cool. Open-source really delivers.

I realize the formatting of these emails is not pretty if your email
reader uses a proportional font. The mail archives are worse, for
example
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2009-September/msg00082...
Right now I'm using a simple python script to parse and add spaces to a
CSV file created by TaskJuggler. Let me know if there are any ideas for
fixing this.
Thanks,
John

graphicsmagick vs. imagemagick (usage question)
by Nicu Buculei
This is a basic usage question, about using graphic applications in
Fedora, not about designing Fedora graphics, but I think here is the
best place to ask it: when working with graphics I use ImageMagick *a
lot* (mostly for batch-editing photography, but not only), I know we
also use it for building the wallpaper packages, is one of the most
important graphic tools our distro.
But we also have packaged GraphicsMagick, which is a fork with identical
usage and claiming some improvements (performance, size, security). Both
seems to be under active development.
So my question is if other people here know both, prefer one of them and
why, to me the two look pretty much the same (I understand the
development team had some differences and split in two).

Just a note about Fedora (TM) vs Fedora (R)
by Máirín Duffy
Hi folks,
Yesterday Nicu brought up to me that there are some pages related to
Fedora's trademark that use the (R) symbol next to 'Fedora' rather than
'TM'.
I talked to Spot about this and he advised that we keep using 'TM' in
our artwork for now. If this changes and we need to use (R) in the
future, I'll let you know!
