Hey Maírín,
The watermark in grey-scale (rgba: 888a85ff) with roughly 30% opacity
from Gnome Shell background extension works well on both day and night.
The issue is dawn and dusk because of similar grey color which possibly
need adjustment. Another suggestion is to control the opacity of the fog
too.
I sent the svgs via
so you can play with them now the
current fedorapeople host is down.

Hey Luya!
Hey awesome, I didnt realize you'd prepped the 5:4.
Question - I'm worried with the changing colors of the animated
version the fedora logo watermark is going to have issues. We're using
a dark watermark this release. Any ideas?

Thank you for summary.
About the 5:4 wallpaper size, I already did and it should be included in
the source tarball and srpm.
I prepared the animated version downloadable on
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=19118488 ready for
testing and the original file is on
https://luya.fedorapeople.org/images/f26/default-animated/standard/
svg version is not included yet because of its size but the wallpaper
can be easily reproduced with gradient. Tweak are welcome and I already
set up github on
https://github.com/fedoradesign/backgrounds/tree/master/default and
branched for f26
