To speak to this, I think the best thing that can be done is to help
users find askfedora with better SEO. I find that when I search for a
problem I'm having, I'll find stackoverflow, fedoraforum and
linuxquestions without issue, but I don't see askfedora on any links.
I wonder if adding better answers will uprate the site? I'm not saying
it won't, but I'd bet there could be a good amount of contribution
just by improving the SEO.
I do understand that more volunteers working on askfedora would be
useful as well. How does one become a contributor to the site, beyond
just showing up on the website and answering questions? Can anyone do
that? I think it's a great idea and hope it grows. I wonder if
promoting your idea on the fedora planet would help as well as maybe
trying to get an interview with FLOSSWeekly, Linux Journal, etc. to
promote the usage of this new support area within Fedora.
Anyway, that's my $.02
Cheers,
Clint
