Hi,
Thank you for this info, I'm planning several short presentations about
Fedora Project at the University of Galati, Romania, and I did not know from
where / how to get Fedora 11 CDs / DVDs.

Hi Fedora Ambassadors --
Do you have intermediate to advanced Drupal 6 skills, and some time to
apply these to benefit the Fedora community? Would you be interested in
leveraging these to help spread the word about Fedora?
If so, then we have a great opportunity for you!
Fedora Insight[1] is a content portal for aggregated news, views, and
events about the Fedora Project that a multi-faceted team has been
working on over the last while. The vision is to build a rich, dynamic
one-stop place to get the latest news on Fedora. The first content
we're incorporating is Fedora Weekly News[2], and we're in the midst of
themeing the site as well as creating new Views for FWN issues. Come
join us! We meet Thursdays on irc.freenode.net
If you are interested, please join the Fedora logistics list[3], and
introduce yourself to the team! We've also started a new Fedora Project
Drupal group[4] for more recruitment, so join us there too, once it has
been approved by the moderators there! Thanks so much!

Hello all,
We did the test last release, but things went not as planned. We tried
to enforce a Schedule for Ambassador Specific activities in sync with
the release of Fedora 14, but most of the tasks were not pursued in
time. It is not time to point fingers so lets look for Fedora 15
Schedule of Ambassadors!
This time FAmSCo (and personally I , as chair) takes full
responsibility of making sure the schedule will be followed as
planned. After the election of the current FAmSCo (November - December
2010) we did a review [1] of the draft schedule from J.Poelstra (our
previous schedule wrangler) and with help of Robyn Bergeron (our
beloved current schedule wrangler) we updated it to meet Ambassador
specific needs.
Also we have new naming of the tasks to help us understand the owner
of task more easily (it was a problem on the old one).
Who will enforce it?
FAmSCo will make sure the owners of each task have whatever they need
to make the action.
How will we report back and review schedule?
The Schedule will be part of our weekly FAmSCo calls so feel free to
drop by to raise an issue. If this is not possible raise the issue on
the mailing list of Ambassadors.
Is the schedule flexible?
We are human beings and sometimes we cannot meet some deadlines :)
This is totally understandable and FAmSCo will be there to help out,
and in extreme cases reform schedule to meet some updated needs.
Is this the final form of the schedule?
Although we tried to deliver a schedule that took into consideration
all of our needs, we understand that the schedule will need some
reform and fine tuning for our next release (e.g. Fedora 16). After
the Fedora 15 release is over we will gather all available feedback
and discuss it to make the appropriate adaptions.
Where is the Schedule anyway?
The schedule can be found here [2] along with the rest of the Fedora
15 schedules
Is this schedule describing all Ambassadors Tasks?
Of course not! This schedule is only for release-specific Ambassador
tasks (i.e. tasks like Release Parties, media production etc). Feel
free to host events and make action out of the schedule as always! But
if your actions are release-specific please help us meet the
guidelines.
Feel free to comment (as always) and step up on specific regional
tasks. I will post and nudge on the mailing list towards the adherence
to the schedule :)

Hi all!
Our next big event in EMEA is FOSDEM 2011 :)
As you have seen on this list we are already organizing our presence
[1]. (Add yourself if you are coming!)
Please note that we need to step up and register some talks on the
Distribution MiniConf (a Conference on Distributions within FOSDEM).
We are 20 fedorians already coming to FOSDEM and I am sure we have a
lot to share with other communities (community, technical etc)
In order to participate in the discussion please join the dist2011
mailing list to state your talk proposal or reply here and I can relay
that :)
Also note that we need to keep our wiki updated for that [3] and that
you can have a talk in the Main Track (Our FPL will!) or a lighting
talk!
~π
ps. for questions please reply here or ping biertie (our event owner)
or me on IRC

Dear Ambassadors,
I am glad to inform you that the order for FAm wear Tshirt has been placed
and the order is
scheduled to be delivered at the end of March.
Due to ICC world cup in Sri Lanka, the factory is busy producing garments
for fans.
Therefore it may delay a week or two but not too much.
Therefore I ll be able to ship them for those who have order them at the end
of March.
FAm outside APAC can get their wear by paying the shipping cost plus
production cost.
For APAC FAm., I ll inform you about the charges and shipping cost soon.
For any comment please visit

Hi there,
a quick update on the EMEA media: Media are in production and should be
ready next week. There were some problems with the sleeves (files were
not PDF-X3 and contained a font that the media company didn't have), but
we solved them.
For the F14 time being we get 3000 media:
* 1000 desktop live 32 bit
* 1000 install DVDs 32 bit
* 1000 install DVDs 64 bit
I regret not doing KDE, LXDE or Xfce, but otherwise we just had too much
media. We had 5000 for F13 but this time we hardly have 3 months left
until F15 is released.
If you are organizing and event and need media, please file a ticket
https://fedorahosted.org/emea-swag-tracking
If you need more swag, say stickers and t-shirts, file a separate ticket
for media and directly assign it to me (cwickert).
Thanks,
Christoph
Hi,
there is a new way to contact the board now: Recently the board's trac
instance was opened for ticket submissions by all FAS account holders.
In order to bring something to the board's attention, just file a ticket
at https://fedorahosted.org/board/newticket
You'll need to login with your FAS credentials.
If you add the keyword "meeting", the ticket will automatically be added
to the board's agenda and discussed in the next board meeting.
For privacy reasons, you can only see your own tickets or tickets where
you are in CC.
Please forward this info to all relevant lists if you think I have
missed one.
Regards,
Christoph
P.S.: I wonder why the board didn't announce this.
Hi APAC Ambassadors,
After the LCA 2011 and FAD, I have received 700 Fedora LiveCD from Cheryn
Tan (from Red Hat Brisbane office) who participated in LCA 2011 Open Day.
The original 1500 discs left about 1200. 200 was carried back by Cheryn for
their future events and 200 was brought back by Heherson (azneita) to
Philippines. I sent 100 to the ambassador at Adelaide (Australia), Luke.
(you can skip the above info if that is too boring. :P)
I have 700 F14 LiveCD sitting at my house (Brisbane) and want to get them to
APAC FAm asap. Feel free to let me know your demand and let's work out this
distribution.
PS: When I sent OLPC/XO to Tuan, the battery was not allowed to go via EMS.
So, there is a battery here I am still figuring out how to do.
