Hi everyone I'm for sure excited about the Fedora 9 being released in just another 12 days from now. I can chip in an unlimited amount of bandwidth for the torrents for the initial download rush when released. Is there any way by which, i can be prepared to seed the torrents on time? Or, should i download it when its released and then start seeding? whats the best option ??
Just join the torrent please. The mirrors will have the content and will open up for direct download at 15:00 UTC on 13-May. That's when the infrastructure team will turn on the torrent too.
If you happen to have a local public mirror, it might be faster than using bittorrent.
If you want to join the torrent as a seeder after downloading the images from a mirror, you can do that too. Simply start the torrent, stop it after it has created the directory structure for the torrent content, then move your downloaded ISO into that directory, and restart the torrent. Viola, you're seeding.
