It did not block the events but if there are requirements for purchase orders and getting
items sent around our requirements in NA is not to rush items tends to become costly and
sometimes events have a closing window that is why event planning is a critical process.
For example the LFNW payment problem. It was caused just from the lack of following up on
event planning. Also by rushing shipments costs three times as much than it should. I
profitt wants to take over he most certainly can. I always recommend a backup event
planner.
I just don't want the event to turn into a disaster and end up costing NA more funds.

For posterity's sake, I followed up with Andrew via email about this and
all details should be finalized by tomorrow night's FAmNA meeting. I'm
unsure about if there will be enough time to commit to WiCHacks, but
finalizing the details for BrickHack should be within grasp, and I'm
hoping before the 20th. I'm working on the final costs for that event
(the main issue is finding prizes to provide for the open source
category of the hackathon - the sponsorship cost I negotiated is static).
