we're not there yet
* In the meantime, we're basically sending stuff out once a month
in big shipments.
OFFICIAL AMBASSADORS
What makes an Official Ambassador?
1. Probationary period
2. Mandatory attendance at this or at the local ambassadors meeting
periodically ("or local meetings" added by barzilay as many
local ambassadors don't speak English)
3. Acceptance by other "official" ambassadors?
4. Getting them through the account system generally is a good
thing to do
Everyone who is official will have an fp.o address
If you have an account in the fedora accounts system, you have an alias
@fedora.redhat.com (we are slowly moving towards consolidating Fedora
infrastructure so that everything will be @fedoraproject.org)
In addition, anyone who has actually stepped up to take a show is
official as well
Ambassadors declared official during meeting
Chitlesh Goorah, Aurélien Bompard, Rahul Sundaram, Thomas Chung, Gerold
Kassube.
STEERING COMMITEE
We're in the process of electing it right here. Care enough to show up,
and suddenly you're running things.
TBD by Alex
LOTS OF VOLUNTEERS
We need to put some control mechanisms together

Fedora-ambassadors-list mailing list
Fedora-ambassadors-list(a)redhat.com
https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-ambassadors-list
I have been getting questions about what it takes to be an Ambassador,
so I have expanded the Ambassadors/HowTo page to include this
information:
How to be an Ambassador: Minimal Requirements
1. Have your name on Ambassadors Country List so the people can
find and contact you.
2. Have your Ambassador profile on your personal wiki page so
everybody knows who they are dealing with and what your interests are.
As an Ambassador, you represent Fedora to the world, and presenting
yourself on the wiki is a good start. Don't forget to include your
email address!
3. Be subscribed to the [WWW] mailing list to be up to date on the
goings-on of the Ambasador world.
For the new ones among us, this group is a meritocracy, as is
Fedora--the more good stuff you do, the more carma you collect, and
you can get shiny goodies or a trip to a Fedora event with the carma
:)
Further, our schwag supplies are limited right now, as well as Greg's
and mine capability to ship stuff around the world. We are working on
putting a system in place to drop-ship DVDs and goodies, but it is not
there yet. And so...
There will be a 30-day freeze on goodie shipments to all newbie
Ambassadors, while they are on "probation"--as we see you contribute
to the group, you will be able to order the goodies.
Cheers,
a

Hai there,
due to the talks following the last meeting, (Barz will send the
meeting minutes), I have created a wiki page in order to help gregdek
to process the aliases in an orderly manner. Fedora Ambassadors and
Contributors are requested to add their related information.
wiki page: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/Emails
Barz. please do add this in your meeting minutes
