Hey everybody,
I would like to remind those of you who has not yet fulfilled the
minimal requirements to do so.
The requirements are:
1. Have your name on Ambassadors Country List so the people can
find and contact you.
2. Have your Ambassador profile on your personal wiki page -- and
don't forget to include your email address, as people need to be able
to get in touch with you!
3. Be subscribed to the mailing list to be up to date on the
goings-on of the Ambasador world. ( I guess all you you are ;)
So please please make sure you have your wiki page filled with some
information about you and your contact data.
Thanks,
a

I have been getting questions about what it takes to be an
Ambassador,
so I have expanded the Ambassadors/HowTo page to include this
information:
How to be an Ambassador: Minimal Requirements
1. Have your name on Ambassadors Country List so the people can
find and contact you.
2. Have your Ambassador profile on your personal wiki page so
everybody knows who they are dealing with and what your interests are.
As an Ambassador, you represent Fedora to the world, and presenting
yourself on the wiki is a good start. Don't forget to include your
email address!
3. Be subscribed to the [WWW] mailing list to be up to date on the
goings-on of the Ambasador world.
For the new ones among us, this group is a meritocracy, as is
Fedora--the more good stuff you do, the more carma you collect, and
you can get shiny goodies or a trip to a Fedora event with the carma
:)
Further, our schwag supplies are limited right now, as well as Greg's
and mine capability to ship stuff around the world. We are working on
putting a system in place to drop-ship DVDs and goodies, but it is not
there yet. And so...
There will be a 30-day freeze on goodie shipments to all newbie
Ambassadors, while they are on "probation"--as we see you contribute
to the group, you will be able to order the goodies.
Cheers,
a
