Are you using 1.8.4 on Arch as well? I would suspect a bug in the
openldap Debian package..
Yes -- 1.8.4, 1.9.0b1, various Git builds; all work in Arch, but not Debian.
If it's a Debian bug, what should I write in a bug report?
