Looking at the code, it seems that ldap_result() returned -1, but at the
same time it set the error message to success..
In other words, it seems to be able to connect, but considers
"Success"
to be an error...
The configuration for the domain is simple, and works on Arch Linux:
Are you using 1.8.4 on Arch as well? I would suspect a bug in the
openldap Debian package..
