Hello everyone,
during the last EMEA irc meeting, I proposed that we should make sure all active communities within our region are equipped with basic booth equipment such as roll-up banners and tableclothes.
Currently, there is just one or two tableclothes for the whole region. Not every community has its own roll-up banners and while some do, these are not anymore in a proper working condition (e.g. colors have started fading out, stands are showing signs of heavy use).
Spending budget on such an initiative can be considered a good investment, since the equipment produced will last for years and will enable our communities to look overall more professional when representing the project during events and conferences. We still have a significant amount of the current fiscal year's budget unspent and we can definitely use some of it.
Does your community lack some booth equipment? Please visit the following wiki page and let us know: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/EMEA/Community_Equipment
Ideas, thoughts, feedback? -Giannis

Hello everyone,
thank you for participating. Albania, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Poland and Serbia is on that list.
However these countries represent only a specific portion of the EMEA region. We wish to support as many active Fedora communities as possible. If yours is missing, please fill in the wiki page below until this Tuesday (19/Jan).

Where will all these be produced? Well, I'm willing to get quotes from Greek vendors, pick the best option, produce and ship everything from there. Unless another person steps up and co-ordinates the whole production in their country instead.
Your feedback and ideas are certainly welcome. -Giannis

Hi there,
As we mentioned this topic in our last EMEA meeting, I was wondering if we can make some progress with it. I know there maybe an issue with budget wise, but maybe we can handle this for the next fiscal year?
Kindly, Ardian.

Hello!
There are very few communities in the wiki. And a couple of them show no information about the current equipment (if they have any). I think it's a good idea to work more on this. All booths, independently from their locations, should look attractive and professional.
Cheers, Sylvia

It seems to me like table cloths would be the one item that many communities are missing. Does anyone know how big they should be and how much it would cost? One random dealer I found in Germany provides some for 80 Euro for 2x3 meters.
Kind regards Till
Wow, that's big! I can research a bit to see if I can find a lower price.
Cheers, Sylvia

Well, I roughly calculated here the size (actually tracing marks on the wall) and seemed quite big to me. But I don't know the one at Brno so I can't compare.
Cheers, Sylvia

Do you think they are usually smaller? I only know the one from Brno and I remember it being huge. But my memory might fool me.
