I'm quite surprised by this statement as we tend to use mostly
standardized autotools build system. I see that some of the
confusion is caused by the outdated BUILD.txt, so I'll revive
Ariel's patch and get it removed so that we only have one place to
look at.
Yeah, in general I think we should only have two places that might be
"gotchas".
1) The --enable-nsslibdir, --enable-pammoddir and--with-ldb-lib-dir
configure arguments are OS-specific. No way around that, unfortunately,
2) Libtool puts the .la files in with the memberof.so for LDB, which
causes noisy-but-harmless errors. Packagers normally remove these
files in their RPM/DEB/etc. packages. Otherwise, the defaults *should*
generally work (although SSSD is sufficiently fundamental
infrastructure that you probably always want to set --prefix=/usr.
/usr/local is more likely to screw you up)
