Title: #789: pam_sss: PAM_USER_UNKNOWN if socket is missing
sumit-bose commented:
"""
Hi,
I guess you are testing on a system where SSSD was running before with the PAM responder
enabled. So /var/lib/sss/pipes/pam already exists, please try to remove it and try
again.
Since /var/lib/sss/pipes/pam only exists if SSSD was running once with the PAM responder
enabled covering this case would be more complicated. To figure out if the PAM responder
should be running or not sssd.conf has to be parsed and I'm a bit reluctant to add
such code to pam_sss.so. Using regex(3) might be possible but since we support includes
files as well it would still be a bit of work.
bye,
Sumit
