Yes, there should no longer be reference to the Data Provider as a
service. There may remain references to "Data Providers" as a shortened
form of "Data Provider Plug-ins/Backends" (plug-ins and backends are
synonymous in this context)
Not sure where else it might appear...
btw, is "monitor" the final name for this service? Would
"sssd_service_monitor" work?
Actually, we no longer use the [monitor] section in the config file. At
this time all of its options have been moved into the [sssd] section.
