No, that's not the same. The following command returns to which
installed package <file> belongs:
rpm -q --whatprovides <file>
I found a redhat webbrowser icon file and used the command above to
discover that it belonged to the redhat-artwork package.
Ahh!! Ok, more like the rpm -qf </path/to/file> is, where it tells you
to which package does file belong to.
