In the Atomic working group in Fedora we have occasionally used virtual
Fedora Activity Days (VFADs) to get the community together to discuss
in a high bandwidth setting (video conference) some techical issues we're
having or some direction of where we're going.
We have scheduled a VFAD for next Friday (march 9th). We'd like to get
some input on some topics to discuss during this VFAD. Please discuss
and add topics to the ticket.
It would be preferable if we keep discussion in one place so please add
responses to the ticket.
Thanks!
Atomic Working Group

As agreed in the first Atomic Workstation SIG meeting, I created a Pagure
project:
https://pagure.io/fedora-atomic-workstation
to serve as a place to track issues with the operation of the Atomic
Workstation composes, and meeting agenda items for the SIG.

Owen
I was reading Fedora Magazine today and there was a really interesting
article up about setting the theme for plymouth[1].
It led me to wonder: why is "Charge" the default theme for Fedora
Workstation instead of something with stronger branding like "Spinfinity"?
In particular, I think Spinfinity would be more pleasant for people to see
while performing offline updates (rather than a monochrome thought bubble)
for that extended period.
I realize that this is probably going to get into an argument about the
relative merits of subjective interpretations of beauty, so let me try to
frame the conversation a little better:
I suspect that the primary reason for Charge is that it transitions more
seamlessly into the GDM login screen (having similar colors). So, is there
a way we could get more visual flare (and product identity) there without
losing the transition benefits? Is it worth considering a re-theming of
BOTH plymouth and GDM for Fedora?

Hi All,
Its been a while since I last dealt with comps, so I'm
a bit rusty on this :)
For the vbox guest integration feature:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/VirtualBox_Guest_Integration
The new virtualbox-guest-additions pkg needs to be part of
the default Workstation install / livecd composes.
So 2 questions:
1) Do I need to ask anyone specific permission for making this change?
2) How do I actually implement this change?
Regards,
Hans
For those who couldn't make it today, notes from todays
call can be found linked at bottom of this wiki page:

We agreed to meet again in two weeks, Monday, March 5, 9am UTC in
#fedora-meeting-2 on freenode. See you then!
