Seriously, though, now that Debian / Ubuntu have joined the choruses
(GNOME, Wayland, systemd, flatpak, etc.) I'm thinking what we need on
a "Linux desktop" is *fewer* features, not more! I'd like to forget
that on one VM I type "dnf install", another I type "apt install"
and
a third I type "zypper install". How about a "Grand Unified GNOME
Workstation" that's the same regardless of the lower-level layers?
You mean `pkcon install <package>` which will use the appropriate tool
under the hood? Just like it does today?
