gnome classic should work because its shipped in the
gnome-shell-extensions package that is maintained by upstream (and
therefore kept up2date). Richard did you include the
gnome-shel-extensions package in your copr repo? (If not you

As of the time I installed, the gnome-shell-extensions SRPM was not
part of the repo. I later added it from the Rawhide packages, assuming
that it would work just as well. See my other reply for the two BZs
I've filed thus far.
As for other extensions they need to be updated by their authors
to work, many would simply need to bump the supported version in
their json file. Starting with 3.11.90 we have a gsettings key to
disable this checks so you can test them anyway see

has not been updated yet so it will show stuff as not compatible
even with the key set).
