Not really. We still want the website for uploading extensions and
(code+user) reviews. It's probably a good idea to update the website to do
something different for recent-enough GNOME versions - maybe a "Check out
in Software" button based on a custom shell-extension: URI scheme - but
removing the installation functionality all together would leave users of
older OS in the cold.
