No operating system is shipped whithout tools to run their own network
tools. It is not because it is a Desktop tools that we should prevent
people from sharing files between their machines.
The desktop spin should not limit itself to type document in a word
processing software and to listen to music.
That is precisely a target of a desktop CD.
We should be able to handle
some basic networks as well, because poeple want to manage their
files
and their hardwares (printers...), to share them among a personal
network. If samba-common is included, then nfs-utils should for the same
reasons.
If you want them install them. Majority of desktop users dont use NFS.
