Thanks Rex =) I will try it as soon as I get hold of
FC3 (which is really soon since someone from my office
already have it).
For the others, sorry that this is becoming a tips
section. Maybe too newbie?
But if it is possible to hack out kde to have this
kind of logout menu eventhough the distro uses gdm I
think that would be a great help to all others who are
using kde in Fedora.

That works if (and only if, AFAIK), you're using the
kdm login manager
(instead of gdm). To do that, put into
/etc/sysconfig desktop:
DISPLAYMANAGER=KDE
and then either reboot, or drop to runlevel 3 and
then back to 5 (simply
restarting X is not sufficient)
