Hello,
Here are the free media statistics for contributors who serviced tickets from India, for the month of September.
The two top contributors for this month are : ujariya(9) and susmit(8).
Thank you for taking the trouble to send out media. Please continue to do your *two a month*
abkumar : 2 acedip : 5 adimania : 2 ankursinha 5 frankly3d : 7 jammysjc10 : 3 jatin : 6 rejymc : 1 sherry151 : 5 susmit : 8 ujariya : 9 verdranm : 2
We've serviced a total of 55 tickets. We'd really like more contributors to join up and send only *two* medias per month.
Complete statistics on all members of the free media program are here:

Hello,
Sorry I missed your name out. It's because I've only taken the "FIXED" tickets (ie, shipped and ticket closed) into account. Both your tickets are still "ASSIGNED". I guess I'll mention tickets accepted along with FIXED from next time.
Thanks for doing your two a month. We really do appreciate it :)
AND, thanks for pointing this out.

ok
changed the status to 'fixed'. Last month (August) too I forgot to change the status of two tickets from assigned to fixed.

Hi All,
How do we report if we provided DVD's without requested from Fedora-free media.
Most of the time when we conduct seminar to collages we provide free DVD's in bulk to the students.
The frequency will be 3-4 seminar per year and around 100-150 dvds.
I do not know whether this can be considered as Fedora Free media contributor or not.
Thanks

Hello,
This has been discussed, and "No" is the answer. The free media program is limited to accepting tickets on the trac and sending people media. The reason is that the free media is for those who cannot receive fedora media from *any other source* which covers "not having fedora related seminars in my region".
India for one has a huge free media demand. If you sign up and have a look at the tickets (you can't view them otherwise), most of them genuinely are from areas where we don't have Ambassadors nearby.
Media distribution at events is separate, so is media distribution to close by people (who therefore have an Ambassador near them).
Most of the free media contributors also do a lot of Ambassadors work (and other Fedora community work), such as events and etc., but the team still keeps its "two a month" completely separate.

Thanks for very clear answer.

hello,
You're most welcome. :)
I want to highlight that distribution of media at events etc. is *also* counted as spreading fedora, just not under the "free media program" category. :)
We really appreciate everyone who helps spread Fedora, using any means, be it events, or local contacts or any other.
That being said, we'd still like more folks to send two media a month at the free media program (aside from the events and other channels etc.) ;)
Tickets for October have come in already!!
