DVD writer troubles
by Ankur Sinha
Hi,
I do realize this isnt the right place for the query, but I really dint
know where else to ask.
My fedora system cannot burn dvds properly. That is, my laptop burner
and the new USB burner I got just today. I'm using "wodim" and it
continually wastes dvds.
Here is an example:
[Ankur@Ankur Fedora-11-i386-DVD]$ wodim -scanbus

I thought it was caused due to a faulty drive. However, as you can see,
the new USB drive I got just today gives the same errors. Please advise
a course of action.

I have faced this issue in past.
The problem is related to write access to the DVD / CD writer.
The culprits to tackle here are "selinux" and "PolicyKit......"
configurations
to allow the access to write to the DVD / CD writer.
Do a little legwork (finger work with keyboard) or come back and ask
again :)

Association with a startup in Bangalore
by Rangeen Basu
Hi
One startup in Bangalore wants to run all their computers (around 20)
on Fedora and requires installation, configration and network setup
support. Is there anyone in Bangalore with proper knowledge of
configuring servers and a linux network? I might use the help. I can
easily take care of the installation and basic configuration part but
regarding server setup, I am not really an expert..
