MeMaker avatar creator
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi
http://memaker.org/
If you have played around with the nice game called Potata Guy, this
one is similar and lets you create pretty nifty and cute avatars. Take
a look at the screenshot section for the basic idea. Email encompass AT
gmail.com if you are interested in packaging it. Holler if you need any
help.

[FAD] Autotools workshop
by Siddhesh Poyarekar
Hi,
I will be conducting a workshop on autotools this coming Saturday at
the FAD, as mentioned in the wiki. I wanted to know if anyone has any
C project in mind that they would like autotoolized. I can model my
workshop based on that project. A good example would be some code
which has subdirectories and requires an external library. If it has
some documentation, it will be perfect.
If there are no suggestions, I will have to choose one of the packages
I have already autotoolized or maybe build an example myself.

Hello gang,
as a member of Fedora QA team, I'd like to ask you, our precious
community members, to help us with reviewing (and possibly creating) new
automated tests.
I'm not sure, if you're familliar with the awesome AutoQA project
<https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/AutoQA> - a Python based framework we
use for automated testing. At the moment, we have tests focused on
package/repo sanity some anaconda and install tests.
Lately we started to work on tests which check LSB compliance of
initscripts in Fedora. We already have some 'upstream' in the running
AutoQA environment (e.g. openssh [output
<https://fedorahosted.org/pipermail/autoqa-results/2010-May/022261.html>, test
source
<https://fedorahosted.org/autoqa/browser/tests/initscripts/tests/openssh/r...>]),
but there are more to be reviewed and pushed 'upstream'.
I've created a wiki page
<https://fedorahosted.org/autoqa/wiki/initscripts> which describes how
could you help. I'll appreciate any feedback, and I'll be more than
happy if you choose to participate on reviewing the test, so we all can
benefit from having the initscripts LSB compliant, and maybe you'll get
so interested in automated testing, that you'll decide to help us with
developing the AutoQA and automating all kinds of tests.
Regards
joza

John The Ripper - installation problem
by Hirak Sarkar
Hello,
I am using fedora 11 , and try to implement john the ripper (JTR)
password cracker in the system, downloaded and install it from yum repo ,
but it is not working
I use something like
# unshadow /etc/passwd /etc/shadow > password.txt
#john password.txt
No password hashes loaded
I know that fedora uses most probably MD5 hashing so I downloaded a patch
but I am so stupid that I could not apply it properly .
If any of you tried this before plz inform me the procedures step by step .

Thank you
