Hi,
Thanks Tonmoy for reporting the bugs and putting up the wishlist.
As for now, I fixed some bugs in wordGroupz like redundancy in the
get_group combobox, inappropriate resize of vpan on window resize.
I also added edit and save options to edit the details of the existing
words.
Thanks to Bamacharan for writing a patch for the search bar.
With these new changes, wordGroupz v0.2 is released.
I'll feel elated if anyone becomes interested to test the app
and submit bug reports and other suggestions.
You can download the wordGroupz source from
http://gitorious.org/wordgroupz
Thanks,
Regards,

hey all,
We had shortly discussed an app that notifies the user of a new comic
strip at the recent FAD. I got down to it last week and have come up
with a release. I call it "loki"[1]. It's really raw right now. It uses
libcurl and libconfig to read from a conf file and check for the
availability of a new comic strip. It does this by comparing the stored
previous issue time stamp with the "Last-modified" tag of the HTTP
header returned by the site's rss feed.
I haven't incorporated the notification area pop up and auto checking
yet. Its on my TODO list for the next release.
The app is "Autotoolized". Thanks Siddhesh for the workshop and links
later to get me started.
You can get the tars here[2]
Please give it a try. Feedback is more than welcome.
Thanks,
regards,
Ankur

Hi,
To keep track of new review requests, or comments to existing package
reviews from members of this list, will it be okay to add india at
lists dot fedoraproject dot org to the CC of the review request?
Automated comment updates sent to this mailing list will help us keep
track of current reviews under progress by the list members.
It will also help us to know which package needs attention.
Suggestions welcome,
SK

I think we are losing the value of Open Source. The core objective of
Open Source has been to let people learn the internals of a software
application with the help of source code, and improve it further so that
everyone benefits.
[...]
Let's understand this with my favorite example-Anaconda installer for
RedHat based Linux distros. Anaconda is a fantastic piece of software,
but it lacks documentation. So to modify it, you have to be a reverse
engineer, and not a software developer. Therefore, contributing to its
further development is difficult.

Hi
http://memaker.org/
If you have played around with the nice game called Potata Guy, this
one is similar and lets you create pretty nifty and cute avatars. Take
a look at the screenshot section for the basic idea. Email encompass AT
gmail.com if you are interested in packaging it. Holler if you need any
help.

Forwarding since the reporter of the review is a Fedora India
contributor.
Rathnadeep, could you please get in touch with Michel? I also noticed
that your last comment on the bug is more than a month ago. It would be
a good idea to let Michel package and maintain xnoise if you're short on
time at the moment.

Ankur

Hey,
I could use some help with a fairly straightforward packaging task.
The yorba team has made 0.5.90 snapshots available here:
http://yorba.org/download/shotwell/0.5/unstable/
These depend on a little library called gexiv2, which can be found here:
http://yorba.org/download/gexiv2/0.0/unstable/
It would be great if somebody could package gexiv2 and get it into
rawhide, so that we can update shotwell, I currently lack the spare
cycles to do this.
Thanks,
Matthias
